Waller County has joined with NASA and Bay Area Houston Economic Development Partnership to provide access to the Space Alliance Technical Outreach Program (SATOP) as a way to help you make product improvements and solve engineering problems.

SATOP provides a unique and revolutionary service to small businesses by providing them with free engineering support from some of the most highly qualified engineers in the world, rocket scientists. Unlike any other technology outreach program, SATOP has assembled a unique network of engineers and scientists from NASA field centers, aerospace contractors, and colleges and universities. These experts use aerospace-developed technology to provide small business owners with up to forty engineering hours of free technical assistance to find a solution to their technical problems.
Areas of expertise for SATOP include (but are not limited to) mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, materials, structural, facilities, chemical, electrical, electronics, and environmental engineering. SATOP’s Success Stories come not only from helping manufacturing and industrial companies, but also from entrepreneurs and inventors in fields as diverse as agriculture, broadcasting, and the arts.
