Waller County Site Selector

Searching Commercial Properties

The Waller County EDP and our development partners, the cities of Hempstead, Prairie View, and Waller, are pleased to bring you the Waller County Site Selector. This application uses the latest in internet and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology. It is designed to help locate existing commercial property and green fields available for commercial development only. You may also want to download brochures for existing business parks.

Demographics Research

While it is primarily designed to help you locate available commercial properties, you can also use our site selector system for basic research using the demographics search features. If you have an address for a location, you can use that address as a starting point for your research.

Here are some suggested starting address for researching around towns:

Waller - 2313 Main St, 77484
Prairie View - 123 University, 77446
Hempstead - 1300 Main St, 77445

Tips for Using a GIS System

If you are not familiar with GIS, before going to the site selector, here are some tips to help you use the site:

  1. If you have a brochure on a specific piece of property advertised in the county, please use the address exactly as it appears on the brochure for the best results. Because streets may have variations in their name, for example Hempstead Highway, US Hwy 290 Business, etc., the best way to find a particular site by address is to use the address given on your marketing collateral.
  2. If you can't find a property, give us a call as the database is updated regularly and your site may not be updated yet.
  3. While you may be able to locate various existing businesses not in our site database, this application is not an internet mapping-type application. It is designed to facilitate locating available commercial properties within the county.
  4. If you are looking for residential property, consult your real estate broker.
