Welcome to Waller County, Texas

Waller County is part of the Houston metro area and the thirteen counties that comprise the Houston Galveston Area Council of Governments. Adjacent to the west side of Harris County, we offer the best in a wholesome rural lifestyle, complete with the world famous Texas Bluebonnets, while at the same time, we are just a short commute from the nation's fourth largest city (download map).

This combination offers residents a quality lifestyle and businesses access to the growing Houston market. Houston is one of the most dynamic regions in the country with one of the largest and most educated workforces in the nation. As a part of the region, Waller County Economic Development Partnership works closely with groups like the Greater Houston Partnership to help create opportunities throughout the area.

Relocating or Expanding Your Business

There are many programs available to help businesses, but most require that you apply before starting construction. Waller County Day in Austin

Waller County Day is a program started by the Waller County Economic Development Partnership. Each legislative session community leaders from around the county travel with us to Austin to meet with our state representatives and discuss issues important to our community, build relationships and spend time learning about our great state. This year we had over 30 community and business leaders join us. Check out the video.

WCEDP at a Glance

The Waller County Economic Development Partnership was started in 2002. As a response to the westward expansion of Houston and as a way to prepare for growth. We are here to support quality existing businesses and those interested in moving to the area. Like most economic development groups, we are looking for quality companies considering relocating, or current businesses needing to expand within the region. In fact, our partnership with the local Small Business Development Center can even help get new companies started.

Comprised of business and community leaders and economic development professionals, the WCEDP understands the difficulties in selecting just the right site for your future.
